Hanesbrands Inc. Distribution Center Grand Opening

Hanesbrands Inc. and NFI hosted the Grand Opening of the NEW Perris, CA site. In spite of the current economic crisis and record unemployment rates, NFI has brought 120 new jobs to the community of Perris and that number is expected to grow to more than 350. City of Perris Mayor Darryl Busch stated “This is a great day for our community”. The City of Perris has been a great partner in our recruiting efforts allowing us to utilize their facilities in support of our hiring efforts. The 1.3M square foot facility is Hanesbrands’ largest distribution facility in the world. The new facility is over 2,152 feet long, 654 feet wide and has a one mile inside perimeter. The facility is so large that supervisory staff peddle oversized tricycles to get around. Hanesbrands leased the site and NFI was retained as the 3PL provider. Guests at the Grand Opening included Darryl Busch, the Mayor of Perris, Sid Brown, CEO of NFI, Ike Brown, Vice Chairman/President NFI Intermodal, Joe Roeder, President NFI Logistics and Distribution and Lee Woodard, Vice President, HBI Global.
